Adventure Quest 1.7 Is Almost Here: Building the App I Always Wanted for Family Travel

For the past several months, I've been steadily improving Adventure Quest with one goal in mind: making sightseeing more engaging for families.

When my family travels, I've always noticed the same pattern. We visit incredible places, take hundreds of photos, and learn a few interesting facts—but the kids eventually lose interest. I wanted to create something that turned exploring into an adventure instead of another checklist.

That's how Adventure Quest was born.

Every destination becomes an interactive experience filled with missions, challenges, and discoveries that encourage families to slow down and truly experience the places they visit.

Version 1.7 represents one of the biggest quality updates since launch.

This release expands the marketplace with additional collections, improves the recap experience, allows collections to appear in multiple categories to make discovery easier, and includes a redesigned App Store presentation that better explains what Adventure Quest actually is.

One of the biggest lessons I've learned as an indie developer is that building great software isn't enough. You also have to teach people how to use it. Over the last few weeks I've spent as much time creating videos, screenshots, and educational content as I have writing code.

That has been a completely new challenge—and one I've come to enjoy.

Adventure Quest is growing one collection at a time, one adventure at a time, and one family at a time. I'm excited to share Version 1.7 and continue expanding the world with new destinations in the months ahead.
